Course description

The course covers the fundamentals of planning, design, and operation of highway transportation facilities. Topics include driver and vehicle performance characteristics, principles of highway geometric design, basics of traffic analysis, traffic signal operations, transportation planning, and the impact of connected and automated vehicle technologies on transportation infrastructure.
